The AFC Asian Cup 2027 runs from 7 January to 5 February 2027 in Saudi Arabia. Twenty-four national teams are drawn into six groups of four:

- Group B — Uzbekistan · Jordan · Bahrain · North Korea
- Group C — Iran · China · Syria · Kyrgyzstan
- Group D — Australia · Iraq · Singapore · Tajikistan

- Group F — Japan · Qatar · Indonesia · Thailand
The top two from each group go through, along with the four best third-placed teams — sixteen sides reach the knockout rounds. From there it is straight elimination to the final.
The timing matters if you follow European football: January is the winter break for most leagues, so the Asian Cup lands right in the gap.
