What you need to know

  One prediction at a time. You fill your predictions match by match. No need to do the whole World Cup today — relax, you have until each match's kickoff to save your prediction with better info (lineups, injuries, weather).

• ⏱️

  Every minute on the pitch counts! Your prediction includes added time and extra time. It's everything played on the field.

• 🥅

  In knockout stages (upcoming): if you predict a draw, you'll also be able to pick the winner of the penalty shootout.

• 🏆

  Champion and runner-up bonus: some groups reward picking the champion and runner-up. That bonus only affects the general ranking — not the per-stage rankings.

• Predict in advance.

  Ideally hours before the match. That removes any risk of your prediction not arriving on time.

• Your prediction has to reach the server before kickoff.

  Between tapping "Save" and the system receiving it, several seconds can pass — especially if your signal is slow or unstable. If the match has already started when your prediction arrives, it won't be saved.

• Edit as many times as you want before kickoff.

  Only the last saved version counts. Check that you see the score you set — that confirms it was registered.

• There's no second chance

  once the match starts. You can't submit a prediction afterward, or change the one you had.

This is the most important part:

• The ranking updates once the match ends.

  It doesn't move while the match is being played. You'll see it recalculated once the system finishes processing all predictions.

• Points calculation takes 15 to 20 minutes.

  After the final whistle the system processes thousands of predictions in parallel. In matches with huge audiences the process may take a bit longer — that's normal.

• If you don't see your score right away, come back in a few minutes.

  Your points always arrive. No correct prediction is lost — the system always catches up.

• Your position may not change even if you got it right.

  The ranking depends on what you get right AND what everyone else gets right. If many people in your group also got 6 points, your position may shift very little. That's part of the game: it rewards being more accurate than the rest over the whole tournament.

• Tied on points?

  When two players have the same total, the tiebreak first uses the number of exact predictions (6 pts), then the number of predictions made, and finally how long you've been in the group. Detailed rankings show this info.

• Turn on notifications

  so we can remind you before each match.

• Invite your friends early.

• Confirm your prediction was saved.

  If you see the score you entered when you come back, it's been registered.
